I chose to go with reflection 1 with topic was a self-made man. There are many different upbringings in life and attending some of these courses for Criminal Justice there was a topic of “chattel”, and in this research, I could identify myself as a participant. Chattel in the focus I was looking at referred to children being that and being sold for sex or as slaves. My focus is on kids with weak or no support who were at the will of others and not their own. A poverty upbringing makes today's good life vision impossible and will be a struggle. I did not fall in to being sold for sex. My mother was single with one kid on the way she messed with a married man and in her time it was frowned upon and shameful.
